X300: the warning no longer works
Hello everyone,
Since I changed the LEDs on my clock (so I took everything apart);
- the warning button no longer works
(when I press it nothing happens)
So your opinion??
if this is the fuse or relay, where is it located?
(I don't have a manual)
Thank you all
And see you soon on our roads!

By warn button is it the steering wheel horn ?
The car horn is controlled by the relay in the corner of the left engine bay fuse box
It can be swapped with the one on the right engine bay fuse box but you need the right to power the engine ECU
If the relay does not click with your finger on it , it would tell you ................
There are 2 fuses and 2 horns
See page 232
jagxj1996.pdf (jagrepair.com)
Your fuses are # 10 and # 14 left engine bay fuse box
See page 17
X300 1996 LWB.pdf (jagrepair.com)
You might find your manual in the sticky's section at the top of the X300 opening page

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.
Whenever something electrical stops working immediately after I have repaired something else, the most likely explanation is that I have not properly reconnected the malfunctioning component. So the first thing to do is to check all your work. I realize that this means removing the ski slope trim panel again, but as you've learned, that isn't very difficult. And after checking all the connectors, you can test everything before you reinstall the ski slope.
It is very helpful to others if you tell us the year of your X300, since some details changed from year to year. A good way to do this is to visit your User Control Panel and Edit Your Signature to include the year, model, and engine details of your Jaguar. That way, this info will show up in all of your posts. See my signature for an example.
Cheers,
Don

First is to assemble the clock with the grey cap on top of the microswitch in a way where its always stays up so the PCB down on the bench and you squeeze the front plastics on top of the electronics. When its assembled its then secured by the button itself and it will not go anywhere. Second option if the cap was lost and you don't have a clock with heated front windscreen, etc, you can use one of the unused switches for the hazard lights. All X300 clocks use the same electronics, its just the front fascia can be different depending on what options you car comes with.
