I was browsing around and noticed that it appeared that the X308 XJR intercooler radiator was larger than the X300 XJR intercooler radiator.

So two quick questions:

1) Is the X308 intercooler radiator larger?
2) If yes, will the X308 intercooler radiator bolt right in without any modifications other than perhaps the correct fasteners, bushes and hose extensions, etc?

Not sure on that one. There's a SC X300 in my workshop right now, I will check tomorrow. I will see if we have any SC 308's coming, I'm sure one will come in or stop by and I'll see what I can find out. I believe that Euro Toys has aftermarket ones for the 308 that are bigger than factory, plus they have other things as well. I remember a silver xkr that I used to work on when I was in Houston had an upgraded intercooler and pulleys, I'm pretty sure that's where he got them.

Regarding Eurotoys, yes they have aftermarket intercooler radiators, etc, but being a new and custom high performance item of course are much higher cost than an option to fit a used X308 radiator if it larger.

I have a good customer in NY that has a new upgraded intercooler radiator for sale. He never installed it into his wife's XJR, so it was just stored in his garage. PM me if your interested and I will put you in touch.

Sorry it's taken so long. I haven't had a 308 SC come in to verify if they are the same. If anything, it should be a similar setup, just coolant hoses might be different diameter. If I see anything, I'll get back to you.

 

Mike. I am interested in this upgraded radiator. Do you know if will fit somewhat easily in an X300 XJR?

 

We designed it to fit a X308, never tried or looked at fitting one in a X300.
