Ummm no. . You have to remove the lower fuse covers for the rear seat then the lower cushion screws are accessible remove them then remove cushion then rear seat back screws are seen remove 4 screws then remove the rear seat back the remove the parcel shelf . Takes couple hrs .
And I also noticed it has two harnesses instead of one. I assume I just pair these together and hook as one?

When I ripped out my back seat in my 93 XJ6 to get my sound system out it seemed relatively easy. Now I just cant take the rattling sub anymore in my 96 XJR. There is one screw on each bottom front side of the lower rear seat. Taking those out didnt loosen much up.
I would have gone more to town on trying to get the whole rear seat out to access the speaker but I have that rear heated seat package and I didnt want to screw up any unknown wiring, etc, etc.
Little more clear directions or help from someone would be terrific!

May be a dumb question, but what lower fuse covers are you talking about to access the lower cushion screws?

Come on now I got tomorrow and Saturday off would like to know how to properly dismantle my backseats of the XJR with rear heat seat package! Hope to get some input step by step. Thanks!
