XJ6 1995
XJ6 will not start, when last taken to the shop I was told that I need Security Control Mod which is used to lock/unlock doors trunk etc. Since I have to unlock pass/rear doors manually I was think that the bad control mod might be the issue. However when I connect a code reader and run the system, there are no codes that come up but I clear whatever is there and the vehicle starts and runs well. I let the vehicle sit for a day and it won't start again. But as soon as I connect the code reader, clear what isn't there, the vehicle starts. I'm lost

Your USA model does not have a chip in the key
Do you have starter rotation?
The fuel pump will only come on for 3 seconds with the rotation of the key before the start position
The starting system can be split in 2 halves to trouble shoot
A control half and a power half
The splitting point is by placing your finger on the starter solenoid relay and feel for it to click closed
You would have to place your finger on it as there are other relays in the area that will click at the same time
You have relay swapping options of the same part # like the A/ C clutch relay , headlights ; fog
Jaguar part # LNA6706AA
Genuine Relays For Jaguar Xj 1995 - 1997 (from 720125 To 812255) Classic | Jaguar Land Rover Classic Parts
The relays can be stuck from removing from the sockets because of a sealing O - ring and penetrating spray helps

jagrepair.com/images/AutoRepairPhotos/jagxj1996.pdf
The one in the pic is on page 43
the V12 and supercharged and 3.2 liter version is a different page as there are some differences
this has to do with the transmission installed
Which diagram?
Your XJS will be even different
