XJ8 Key Fob Blank Fit X300?

Default XJ8 Key Fob Blank Fit X300?
Does anyone know if the Flip Key Blank for a 2001 XJ8 will fit the lock cylinder of the X300? It looks to be the exact same key blank. I know the FOB won't work, but I just came across a 2001 XJ8 uncut flip key & I don't have a 2nd key for my X300.

X300 uses an 8 cut key, the key shown there looks like the shorter 6 cut key used in S-Types and X-Types.

Sucks I know. I want one of those flip keys too....
