XJR R1 tire (tyre) pressure?
I have a 1995 XJ6 Vanden Plas fitted with XJR R1 (X308) wheels and tires (tyres) which the previous owner installed. I need to know what the pressure should be for both the front and rear tires. Been searching all over different Jag sites and have yet to find the info I need. Please help!
Thanks,
Aaron

your question is reasonable for this part of the forum since the wheels you are inquiring about were fitted to X308s.
I just looked at my tire pressure sticker in my center console. If the R1's are the 255/35R19 wheel, you want:
Front Tire
<100mph: 32psi
>100mph: 34psi
Rear Tire
<100mph: 35psi
>100mph: 36psi

I really don't understand why this thread was moved.
The tires are P 255/40 ZR 18 95W Continentals. The thing I don't understand is how both the front and rear have the same exact numbers/letters but the rear tires are wider than the front. Isn't one of those numbers the width? I know so little about tires. Can you tell?

"255" is the width.
If the rear wheels are wider than the fronts the rear tires will take on a differnet, wider appearance. However, I don't believe Jaguar used staggered wheel widths on the XJRs of that era.
