Question XJR6 Lower supercharger pulley bolt specs and torque

For the life of me I can't find a diagram or part numbers for the lower supercharger crankshaft driven pulley and it's four bolts on Jaguar Classic Parts.

Does anyone know the four bolt part numbers, and specs?

Also any idea of the assembly torque value of the four bolts that mount the pulley?

Apologies to bump, but anyone have this information or a link to it?

My installation is held up until I can source the info.

Do they look like this flange bolt m8x50

non numbered part in page 40 of the spare part fiche, attached

I really could not find the tightening torque spec for those on the service manual, only helpfull notice to tighten them when replacing the pulley (attached also)

I don't have the bolts in-hand, so I can't confirm the size, but thanks for the information! The bolts are numbered in the diagram you attached, so I would hope that means the torque is noted somewhere. We would think the folks writing these manuals would go ahead and list things like torque values in the same sentence as they say "tighten the SC pulley bolt"

I'm hoping that Jagboi64's kit from Powerhouse UK may include the torque values in the instructions:

I think you can reuse the original bolts, the instructions say to use loctite 243, and torque to Jaguar specification. Usual spec for a grade 8.8 bolt is 14-16 ft-lbs. If it was a class 10.9 bolt (which I don't think it is) torque would be 20-22 ft-lbs.

Loctite 243 is blue threadlocker, the normal grade is 242, 243 is slightly stronger to resist oily bolts.

Thanks, I guess I'll have to get a photo of the head of the bolt to see what grade it is, unless someone already had a photo and has sized the bolt so we can verify size and grade.

Now that winter is coming, I may look at installing the new pulley, but want to verify the bolt specs before taking things apart.

Maybe it's in here about 8 pages down . The other factor in final torque other the the metallurgical properties of the bolt is that of the material of the item threaded into and the number of threads engaged . Might consider to have a visual indication if the bolts are migrating out in service is to use some things in the aircraft industry . Otherwise some bolt torque values you may receive may come from various forms of some mechanical engineering handbooks . Safety wire the bolts or use bend over locking tabs used in jet engines although you will lose a thread of engagement and the shank surface will move a bit out of the area of engagement .

Thanks I had searched that as well. Read(searched) the whole document, and unfortunately it didn't jump out at me.

I found the following on page vii, but not sure if that's it: "Timing ring to damper 15.5 to 20.5"

XJR Engineer may be able to help . Lady P. is not Supercharged to see the pulley setup , but if it's the outer one then that may be it . I assumed you had the AJ16 Overhaul Doc. but just in case .
