Default XJR6 Powerhouse pulley

My XJR has recently had a new radiator, all new cam drive chains and tensioners, new octopus hose, rebuilt crank harmonic balancer (was slipping), new front sway bar bushes, replacement cooling fans (one had died), and a new cooling fan relay (totally died).
I sourced a secondhand XJR-specific harmonic balancer from the UK while mine was being rebuilt - it took the guy 6 weeks last time he did my 3.2 balancer, so I didn't want to wait that long, but in the end he was pretty quick, so I now have a spare XJR harmonic balancer,...if anyone needs one.
It’s all back together and running beautifully. It has lost a slight flat spot it had around 1800-1900 rpm so perhaps that was due to slight chain wear.

anyway, while the radiator was out I took a photo of the 10% larger Powerhouse supercharger drive pulley. It is a very worthwhile modification if you have an XJR. To the right you can see the replacement upgrade Bosch inter cooler water pump.
the power increase with the pulley is noticeable, and it maxes out the airflow meter at about 4-4500 rpm when throttle wide open.
I’m loving it, but sorely tempted by a 2014 XJR with 550bhp that has popped up for sale at a quarter of the new price....

Thanks for the photos. I bought one a while ago, and will finally get around to fitting it on Sunday. Really looking forward to extra low down power.

The 2014 will be sooooo much faster but will not have the charm of the older car.

Well Done AL NZ, with all the work on the XJR6. Great to see these cars getting such attention.

thanks Andy. I use it every day, it gets a hard time, but I love it.
when I see some of the cosseted cars that barely get used, I think this is the way to go - enjoying a modern classic on a daily basis and giving a few modern cars some surprises.
