XJR6 - rough idle and stalling...and random black smoke.
Hi guys,
Since I got my XJR6, it has been working so randomly that it's becoming very disturbing... since I have done a few things on the car, it was working well, until today where it stall suddenly again when slowing down to stop. And then after a few ignition, it struggle to rev-up and start to do black smoke and will not move. After a while, it restarted and I could bring it back home (on the way, I had few hesitation with black smoke). Now parked at my place, it starts very well but when it gets warm, the idle is very wrong now... But no black smoke...
Over the last months, I have replaced:
- Crankshaft sensor (Lucas)
- Spark plug (Champion RC12YC)
- Coils (NGK U9045 from Japan)
- MAF sensor LNA1620 (the car was fitted with a MAF from N/A engine...)
- Genuine air filter
- Check the ECU and replace it with a spare one that I had from previous owner (re-using the original EPROM as it's an ECU for a different model)
- New O2 sensors (Bosch) + re-orientation
- New coolant sensor (from Lucas)
- My TB is supposed to have been cleaned by previous owner but I might check it again someday...
I have the feeling that the car is randomly running rich...
I am attaching a picture of the reading at idle (with my basic OBD as my IDS PC passed out).
- Is it normal that my MAF sensor reads a 0.06g/s ?!
- I have a code that come up (P0413 - air system switching valve circuit open (generic) - however, my IDS PC is broken and I cannot check if there is a specific jaguar code as of now)
- Do I need to reset the fuel adaptation trims since the MAF was replaced? I have IDS...but not sure it's possible...
- Can a vaccum leak be so random?
- Can it be random issue with fuel regulator?
This is one of the reading at idle
Also reading at idle for TPS/MAF
This is the O2 reading when revving up
