yet another AC issue

yet another AC issue
so the AC compressor is working and blowers are working but for some unexplicable reason the passenger vents do not push cool air or i should say the driver vents push cooler air than the passenger vents. WTH!!!! also overall it is not really cooling like it was before. altho it sometimes feels like it is then a few minutes later it feels like its not. the system is full of gas and the compressor is working as it should. any ideas? this time logic doesnt work for me lol.
i tought about blocking off the heater hoses since i live in tropic and there is no need for that. but i want to do that not thinking it will fix the issue, i just want to do it cause its not needed and just maybe it might make ac a bit cooler.

The climate control has a self-diagnostic capabilty that might be helpful here.
-Ignition off
-Press and hold "Auto" and "recirculate" buttons simultaneously
-Turn igntion on
-Display will flash
-Press "Auto"
-Press the "Face" button to scroll thru the codes
-Any code accompanied by a beep is a current code. No beep=history code
-If "0" is displayed there are no codes. Wait 30 seconds for self test.
-To clear codes press rear defog and "face" buttons simultaneously
-Turn system off, then on again, to leave diagnostic mode
Let us know if there are any codes!
Cheers

#12 is ambient temp sensor open circuit or short circuit
#23 is refrigerant pressure switch open circuit of short circuit
#24 is face vent demand potentiometer open or short circuit
The 12 code may explain poor cooling but I don;t se how it would be realted to an air distribution problem
Hopefully others will chime in
Cheers

The ambient temp sensor where is it located? Wouldnt it only affect when the ac is in auto mode? I always have it on manual mode coolest setting.
The refrigerant pressure switch. That could also be the issue I suppose. if it where intermitent. Im assuming thats the 4 wire switch on the refrigerant line close to the refill plug. Maybe I could bypass the switch for testing purposes. I looked at diagram and I see it has two switches internally. Should I just bypass both?

I've never had to delve into my climate control (knock on wood) so I'm afraid I can't pass along any troubleshooting tips.
Hopefully someone will come along who know something.
Cheers

Out of curiosity I did some brief research on this.
1) In the Jaguar catalogs there is no listing for an expansion valve as a separate item. So, it appears that the only way to buy it from Jaguar is to buy an evaporator.
2) Some have said that the expansion valve is "integral" to the evaporator.
However.......
3) Various aftermarket vendors list the expansion valve as a stand-alone item.
4) At least one person says the expansion valve is on the cabin-side of the firewall and looks like a machined aluminum block....which matches the pictures seen in the aftermarket listings.
Hopefully some dealer techs or someone who has been there, done that, will chime to to clarify.
My conclusion, perhaps wrong, is that A) the expansion valve *can* be replaced, B) *Jaguar* does not service the expansion valve separately and C) aftermarket vendors sell the valve separately.
<shrug>
Cheers
