Default $65 XJ8 arm rest covers

Has anyone bought one of those replacement covers for an X308 arm rest console? Any comments on them, quality fitment etc.?

Its hard to find a replacement arm rest lid for under $300 after shipping and customs (importing to Canada) especially one that's in my trim (oatmeal). these cheaper alternative replacement covers were on ebay but now they seem to have disappeared which to me is a red flag. I found their website though:

What is wrong with your armrest currently? Is it worn out or just dirty? They clean up well, have a look at what I did with my armrest in my 3.2 Renovation Thread.
If you're really stuck I have a couple of spare armrests which is in good condition, I'd sell you one at a reasonable price and postage costs. I could remove the cover and you could just fit it to your unit.
One is a a cup holder one and one is non cup, is yours also a cup holder? The mechanism is broken on it, hence why it's spare. One is NED Ivory and one is AGD Oatmeal, I can't remember which is which but will look in my spares on Sunday when I get to my storage.

Hi yes it is quite worn and cracked in places and needs replacing and it is AGD oatmeal trim. Cup holder is worn too but there are a couple of videos out there on how to fix those so I'll give that a go once I get the leather sorted.

Driver's bottom seat cushion is also really bad, those are hard to find as well.

Any upholsterer should be able to handle the replacement, they'll have swatches to match with. Don't get caught up in an exact match, it won't happen and no one will notice unless you are really off. As a matter of fact, if you did get a new one in your color, it most likely will look out of place with its probable darker shade from no exposure. I had mine done with pleather and its held up now for 10 yrs and is softer than the leather. Being it sits on top in the light, no one sees any difference. In the pic it looks like it matches the steering wheel which is the exact color as the seats. It was all dyed with the seats about 3 yrs ago to match using the center lid as the color. Angles and heights make colors seem different, even though they are the same.

Had the interior redone over a year ago.

Yeah that's another option I'm looking at, thanks. Great looking interior.
