“Noisy” dashboard

You need to gently pull up on it & see if it is even attached to the clip holder, as many like mine break off @ that point so in effect they are not secure.

I have used pressed foam rubber, the stuff that they put on the corners of windshields when they ship them. I got a few from a local body shop and cut a few pieces the size i wanted. They just throw them away, so didn’t cost me anything. My dash is black, and these were black, so they weren’t noticeable.

Lots of good tips and suggestion already. Let me add my experience. I was getting some very annoying noises from the front of the dashboard as well. Close to the windscreen. I pried out the vent piece that holds the sun sensor. Turned out that the clip holder underneath the windscreen in which the vent fits was broken. So it just was not holding the vent tightly anymore. Managed to glue it with some super glue. Had to experiment with different glues to find the one that worked on these plastics. So far so good, it has held for nearly ten years, fingers crossed!
