I left house this morning in my 2000 XJR and got 2 blocks. While cruising, no hard accel, simply died. I coasted over to side and restarted. Took for a spin and all ok. not sure what happened. No Check engine light. Power good after episode. Has new pumps and wiring in tank 3 months ago. Has had chains and tensioners upgraded. Has new plugs.New AFM. Im at a loss to explain what happened. Any thoughts. I hate this wait till i'm in houston rush hour traffic for the cause to rear its head. I did try a diff fuel source yesterday. they are high volumn so fuel is circulated.

 

My sons XJ8 died a couple times on him while on the freeway, no warning, very similar. I cleaned the throttle body, and it hasn't happened since. Lots of threads here on how to clean it. =............
