Good morning Crazies.

About to play with this pita again..
Can you tell is these 2 line from the expansion tank is right or do they crisscross like I've seen on some diagrams? The way they are now is how it was originally.

or should they go on like this?

CK is busy cutting grass and I'm still getting snow! Poor CK...
I been tuning my grass cutters...

it's was getting a low coolant warning, the sensor float was full muck... working now.

I remember when I use to do that....lol
I'm down to 2 trouble codes knock sensor bank 1. ( passenger side) correct? And reduce performance.
it's got a knock like a coil isn't firing, my old innova 3100 or Autel MS 906 BT DO NOT Have the ability to read live data for spark/coils.on this car... Or I don't know how to use them.
no codes for a bad coil.

A failed knock sensor will give you the reduced performance message.

How is the car running? Is it running smoothly, or do you detect a misfire or rough running at idle and/or lower rpms?

If the car seems to be running okay and you don't suspect a faulty coil or fuel injector etc, etc, I would suspect that you do need to replace the knock sensor. A failed knock sensor produces the restricted performance message and restricts the rpms to below 3,000, but the motor should run fine at idle/low rpms

It's running like it's got a dead /bad coil...
idle came down 675 RPM before it was around 1200/1400...
Would of been easy on the driver's side to unplug coils one at a time....

So far I'm not getting a code for misfire, just knock sensor bank 1 . But it feels like one cylinder isn't firing, has that roughness, that feel, sound.

Going to disconnect the maf sensor and duct work hopefully she'll run and start unplugging coils one at a time...

Hmmm, don't think it will like the MAF sensor being disconnected........will be interesting to see how it goes.

No it didn't like it... but it ran...
disconnected one coil at a time each made the car run worse.
I then metered out the knock sensors bank one sensor is shorted to ground both legs..
Do you know if a bad knock sensor will cause it to run rough /funky?
next I guess I can pull the plugs and take a peek.. ?

Ok found this....
faulty knock sensor can result in a loss of power. ... You start noticing poor fuel economy: Ignition timing that is overly retarded can affect engine performance

Assuming the 4 plugs on the driver's side are known to be okay, how about swapping them with the passenger side, hopefully the misfire will now be on the driver side, and you can start the car with the intake tubing and MAF sensor connected and disconnect each plug on the driver's side in turn?

Ah, too late.......................I guess the problem is the knock sensor??????

Rock auto has them for $67 bucks, which is a pretty good deal these days.
