Don't pick on poor Bob he got his *** kicked today by his dad. Of the 20 sheep there his dad is the only Ram and for some reason Bob thinks he has to try and butt heads with him, usually his dad ignores him not today today a little Bob got his head butt and hard, knocked him to the ground and he hasn't been the same since. Very quite. .. lol.

ok Boot Problem sorted out , good cleaning and lube.
Car is running no check engine light just ABS which im not dealing with now.
Not running smoothly .Its been running for hours, on and off..
After thinking about it. the fuel is old 6,8 months old or a little older, Im try to run the old fuel out then and add some fresh fuel.
Heat doesn't blow out i checked the the Aux pump it doesn't seem to turn on .. I tested it by applying 12v @4 amps it runs smoothly and then ill heat blowing out the vents,But no matter how i set the settings for heat I get no heat and no pump action...
I been searching online for the fuse for the pump ,, Unless its called something else. no luck so far..
Do either one of you guys know?

Thanks

Definitely get some fresh high octane fuel in there.......and maybe some of that "HEET" gas treatment, or some StaBil, etc, etc,.

Not expert on the heater aux pump.........could it be water airlock?

Could try "bleeding" at the thermostat tower cap?

As soon as you feel confident it may be a good idea to take some road tests, a lot of things "sort themselves out" during actual driving.

Hi CK.
I'll definitely get some fresh fuel less than a 1/4 tank left.
I did check the fluid level from the thermostat housing and ran it with the cap off until it overflowed.
Like I said if I apply power to the pump I get instant heat.
I know it has to have a fuse and/or relay.. Just not finding it. I found one relay diagram but not sure if I'm missing a relay or not.Doesn't say auxiliary pump..
Relay one is missing from my car..
dont know if that applies to my car or not.

Perhaps its a connection behind the climate controls in the dash? From the Workshop Manual, I even left the pg #'s on it for ya.

I think mint sauce is got brain damage or still in shock from getting hit so hard...lol
I'm not complaining he's been quite and very docile..... He's a joy now...

Getting ready to pickup some new fuel I'm going with the non-ethanol the octane rating is 90 on that one. And I'll add some seafood since I have that on hand...
hopefully that will help. Smooth things out...

Someone posted recently that he put in non-ethanol and it zeroed out his fuel trims and was running smooth.

I think Mint Sauce got a reality check from Dad.

Hi guys..
Hope you guys are doing well....
I'm still chasing down an issue with the knock sensor P0333.
Since we last spoke, I ran the car out of fuel added 5 gallons of non-ethanol fuel, the new injectors came in and there installed, ran the car for a while and the 3rd time I restarted it is got that same code.. I pulled all the coils and plugs from Bank 2 and switched them with Bank 1 in the same order, cleared the code and tried again after 3rd,4th time same code ... grrr
Engine sounds smooth best it's been so far.
I metered the knock sensor across the 2 pins I get 2k same as the other one on bank 1.I also checked AC-mv and tapped around the sensor I got just about the same reading it happens fast. I switched connector from sensor 1& 2 and still getter the same code for bank 2.
I think I have to trace the wire back to the PCM /ECM and make sure the wire is ok ..
Looking for pin layout now...
I also un-bolted the KS and laid it on a shop rag i stuffed under the manifold, Same p0333.

if you guys can think of anything PLEASE chime in..... lol

stay safe.

You seem to be down to some bad wiring or pinning (most likely) ....a bad PCM ....or a mechanical issue. Before I say anything about possible mechanical issues, can you hear anything when she's running? Do you have a engine stethoscope?

Here's some info to help meter out the connector lead. At about the 3:45 mark he does that, everything before you've said you've done...

Hey HH..
yes I have a stethoscope I listened to everything and compared the 2 sides really don't hear a difference the engine seems smooth even at 4000,5000 rpms idle is steady at around 560...
No luck finding the wiring pin out found diagrams of the pins but not what's what..
I did unmount the knock sensor and put it on a shop towel still same code.

I'll check the video now...
thanks

Well, that's good news if you can't hear anything bad with the stethoscope. So its appears to be down to the PCM and our most likely culprit, the wiring harness/connection.

Hi HH.
Yes all that testing was done as in the video, next is try and trace that wire back to the PCM just to be sure it's not the wire...
ill get on that in a little while... I've had no luck on finding a wiring diagram to the pin/pins on the PCM so I can only start to undo the harnesse and hopefully find something wrong..
I know it's a small coax cable I guess for the shielding of that cable.... ill let you know if I find anything...

thanks again...

Hey CK how are you doing????

This where I'm at...

From this Junction right before the PCM reading from here to the KS it reading all over place if I wiggle the wire I believe is for bank 1 I'll momentarily get an open.
Not a whole lot of room to work in, I really don't want to have to open the junction any further, I'll see what I can do as is....
It is a coax cable the signal wire is the center the ground is The Shield.

Thats the splice just before the KS connection. Same as what is just below the junction box.

that wire to the right should be my problem child.

Still mowing, I have 4 acres and at this time of the year by the time I'm done at one end it's time to start again.

Add to that we are renovating an area on the west side of our house, replacing a decking, creating a pathway, clearing an area for decorative gravel, making a water fountain, etc, etc. The Jag hasn't been out of the garage in 2 weeks or more!

I've been following your recent troubles but electrics is not my forte so have just been an interested observer.

Hey CK...
Oh the Joy of owning property I know what it's like.... The fun never stops...
Just glad to hear your doing ok...
I'm just taking a break before I try reaching in and taking that wire apart. .
You keep at it and I'll update as soon as I find something. I feel better now, I'm thinking it's not the PCM / ECM. .. I hope.

ttyl

stay safe guys..
