Protech,
Unfortunately after looking back over my service records, I see that my blower noise problem was solved by replacing the blower assembly, part number: JLM-20188.
Someone that has the time and mechanical ability to do the work themselves may be able to pull the blower assembly and investigate what errant part must be touching the blower, I didn't have the time (or a Jaguar repair manual), so it was a $400+ part and 6.5 hours of labor.

I expect it is under the dash/consol. I've never accessed it myself. At 11-years old now, it would be nice if Jaguar could provide on-line information on repair manuals for cars now worth less than $5 to $10K for those who appreciate what they have designed but can no longer justify paying $150/hr to maintain.

Just for grins - put the fan on high and leave it there for a bit - I, on another car, have had part of a leaf get into the fan box and make the 'card in spokes' sound... running at high for a while broke it up, or moved it... the sound went away; and a few leaf particles came out the registers. Don't know it this can happen in the Jag, but it can't hurt to try.

Quad,
That is a great idea. I am almost positve that some insignificant debris caused a noise that my mechanic found as an opportunity to charge me $1,300 for parts and labor. If I had the time, I am reasonbaly sure that pulling the blower, cleaning any debris, and replacing the same blower would have solved the problem.
