Guys,

I am new to the forum and am so glad that I have stumbled across it. There is a lot of great information and the site is well-designed.

I have a 2002 XJR that has 60,500 miles on it. I live in Chicago and the weather has taken a turn for the cold and nasty. Literally one day a few days ago I noticed that the Jag has lost some pep. The initial acceleration from a complete stop seems to have become more sluggish. Also when I let off of the gas and coast it seems to slow quicker, almost as if it has some resistance.

The car is in mint condition and I have had it for 10,000 miles with absolutely no problems. It still drives great but this slight loss of power concerns me. Is this a common thing? Should it go away when the weather warms? What could cause such things?

Thanks for the ideas. It is sluggish with or without sport mode on. It is not a terrible decrease in power but I can definitely notice it. I was thinking that there may be a brake drag of some kind so when I get the oil changed this week I will have them check it out.
