Saw this unique VDP S/C on eBay, wanted to share:

It's overpriced at $13.5k, has mismatched wheels from a pre-Y2k VDP and mismatched chrome from an XJ8, and a broken center-console ashtray-cover.

But it is still gorgeous, unique and awesome!

 

Dang, yeah it is over priced...but as you say, it is sharp looking, though I suspect a wreck or theft recovery. I don't see a broken council, the ashtray lid looks jammed, but it sure could of used a bit of dye from arm wear (that's only $40 to touch up). Its been across the country to...Newark, NJ... Tinley Park, ILL...and Alpine, UT. I'm sure it was trained into Ill.

Does it say 'Death' on the stereo?....lol

 

I think I've seen that one before @ 19K, if so I see someone's coming to their senses.

 

22mpg highway? I've never topped 19 in my xjr!

 

I was corrected for the same remarks in an other thread / other car: Once Jaguar dropped the Vanden Plas name, it also dropped the fluted grill and plinth.
I guess this only covers the 2003 models in the US.
And I think the rims could be totally correct.

 

Coming out of Miami up to West Palm one Sunday morning (heading home), I avg'd 23 @ 78mph. Now mind you, that's avg 78 Sunday AM (7ish) 95 is pretty clear....even the troopers aren't out.

 

Wow, really?? I know mine is N/A, but about 5-years ago I averaged at 28mpg from NYC to Boston (highway-only miles), now my car is a bit older and does not seem to average above 26mpg anymore, but still, that is much better than 19!

 

28 is pretty awesome for a saloon....NA or SC.
