Default 03 XJR Left front seat switch

An (albeit brief) search failed to address my issue. The L front seat will only move if I use the memory buttons in the door- nothing from the switch on the side of the seat. My issue is that currently- the seat doesn't raise high enough above the sill to remove the switch in order to check the continuity.. Should I bite the proverbial bullet and remove the seat (altho I suspect that's easier said then done with the seat in it's current position)...TIA to the group!

Much easier to simply remove the nuts from the rails and lean the seat back, pick up the steering up though. With the limited space, considering your seat position, you should be able to prop it up to get to the electronics. Though it may be an acrobatic moment.

Dave (good dude) at everydayXJ.com did have a switch a couple weeks ago, but apparently sold it. But he does have the drive motors if you find any of those bad (bottom of page)... https://shop.everydayxj.com/category_s/1950.htm
You can email him and inquire, he responds fairly quickly.

Here's another site I've used in the past... https://www.jaguarpartsspecialist.com/new-category-132/

...and this is from the X308 Workshop Manual...

Thank you sir.... sounds like fun since the seat positions in the "memory" are fully down.... hoping for a switch and not a module...

I’ve encountered on numerous times where the wire(s) break on the backside of the switch specifically because the seat foam collapsed and the wires rub through the seat bottom frame and blow a fuse.
