I think your 12.28 will be hard to beat without a TS or the old HP in a bottle. I do think it is worth sending your TB to Maxbore since the cost is so low and that definitely is a bottleneck for you. Even if you go from 75 -> 80mm I'd bet you would feel a difference.

I'm not going to beat that time.

Me thinks thundercat or JgaXkr are top contenders since AVOS isn't going to show his cards. As you know there are a few other twin screws in process of being installed, so that is why I thought you might want to get into the record books and hold the title for at least a little while.

I'm hoping I will get to the 12.8 mark while still retaining an eaton, but I'm not sure until I try it. Matt Moran ran a 12.4 still with an Eaton, so it has been done.

I'm all for some competition, but the TS simply outclasses the Eaton.

I suspect a gain of at least 35-40 HP could be had from a good set of ported heads with larger valves, then a little more 5-15 from minor exhaust mods.

What are the stock fuel pump flow rated at?

Steve, if your TS 4.0 can do 12.28, wonder what a 4.2 can do with same TS?

I believe that 4.2 with Stage 2 TS ,new cams and ported heads goes under 11.5. Needs just LSD, good track and set of drag slicks.

Well the the 4.2 was only about 30 hp more than the 4.0 from the factory. Maybe a little more with a twin screw. So whatever difference that makes at the track.

I'm sure I can go sub-12 seconds with an lsd and stickier tires.

Let's ask someone with a 4.2 twin screw. Oh wait...I don't think they take it to the track, lol.

Why not start looking at reducing weight or better yet, unsprung weight? rotors? driveshaft? trying to shed off 200lbs would get you under 12 sec., especially with drags

Yup, I have all extra weight in the trunk removed: spare, tools, carpeting, lighter battery.

I'll be putting lighter wheels on yet wider in the rear with wider tires (10 lbs. less each wheel!). The 18x9 BBS Milans weigh 30lbs!!!

If this was a race car I would strip it completely. But since it's not, there's only so much you can do.

Under 12 seconds will not be a problem.

I found Hi Spec rotors that weight 10lbs each up front and 4.4 lbs each on the rear... thats nearly 30lbs of unsprung weight from the rotors. 1 to 4 ratio would make it 120lbs off your car.

I wonder how fast an '05 XKR would be in a 1/4 mile, since its lighter to begin with, with a twin screw, mods and lightened.

What kind of limited slip differential do you plan to install, and where will you get it?

When are you going to test it out?

What gear ratio?

What is the weak link in the drive line now? Are you getting slicks?

Looks schweeeet!

At the track? Hopefully soon. I haven't really even driven it properly yet, lol.

It's still the stock 3.06 gear ratio.

I don't know what the weak link is yet. Hopefully nothing blows up. Might get drag radials. I'll see how it goes with street tires and lsd first.

I'm ticked off because I did the transmission fluid change today and only bought 6 quarts but 8 drained out
And of course can't buy some more anywhere on the weekend.

Default Steve M, any updates?

I'm hoping to see a post from you in the 11s.

Any progress on this front?

The times I was planning on going were either rained out or something came up. I might wait for it to cool down.

Dont mean to crash the thread but while we're talking 1/4 mile times, my 98 XJR recently pulled a 14.01 sec @ 102mph with 3/4 tank of feul and a 127kg driver, standard apart from catback exhaust and panel filter.....good or bad?

A little on the low side... What was the weather like? Elevation? Tires?

I did 13.8 in 90 degree weather in Florida with street tires and terrible starts, 100% stock...
