I have changed my Neutral safety transmission range switch a couple weeks ago and it still kept giving me P0706 error code. It would still start but then slammed it limpt mood even with the used eBay sensor which the photos show it was probably Broke in the junk place. I am ordering a new used on that passed the usability on the computer.
Today I removed the Senor and can easily tell it's messed up. I put it back in and now the car won't start stiff gives P0706 code. I know the transmission CPU could be a issue. Is there anything I'm forgetting or hasn't been thought of?




Even the cable was druken when i got it.

 

Man, you need to work on the focus for your pics....those are blurry as hell. Very difficult to see what you have.

P0706 Jaguar Auto Trouble CodeP0706 Jaguar OBD2 reports a sensor fault, replacement of the sensor is unlikely to resolve the underlying problem. The fault is most likely to be caused by the systems that the sensor is monitoring, but might even be caused by the wiring to the sensor itself.
Remove the air filter box assembly so you can access the transmission range switch. Turn the key to the ON position, but do not start the vehicle. Move the shifter to the neutral position. Align the alignment holes between the switch and the shift lever. Insert a 5mm drill bit into the adjustment hole to verify the proper alignment for the neutral position.
