Car sat for a year. I put a new transmission in for a guy this weekend. It wouldnt start before the job and wont start after. The customer states it ran before they put it away last year. I notice that the fuel pump doesnt kick on and it also doesnt have spark. I have checked every fuse and every relay. Am I missing something here? Thanks

 

There have been many reports of fuel pumps failing after long periods of storage. Ignition I would expect to see a code, although many faults are not displayed until the ECU goes through a few cycles.

 

Well I guess what I could do is pick up a pump and plug it in the harness and see if that changes anything.
