Hi All,

I have a 1998 XJR and this has been going on for a while now, the front suspension creaks when going over bumps, when turning, when pressure is exerted on one side of the vehicle (for instance making a K-turn).

I guess the best way I can describe it would be as when you brake or go over a speed bump you hear the front suspension make a creaking noise. It's more likely than not one or more of the front suspension components, but I was just curious to see if any other members have experienced this or by chance may want to take a stab at what it may be.

Sounds like worn out bushings or ball joint. Time to get under tge car with a pry bar and start testing the joints and linkage. Let us know your findings. 😁

 

It's time to start replacing all those rubber components. Don't forget the sway bar bushings and links.
