The first thing to work out is if you have the CATS adjustable dampers or not. If you do, there will be a control module on the top of the damper. If it doesn't have anything on top of the damper, it will just be a regular Bilstein Sport (green). I got my non-CATS sports at PartsGeek.com.

98 1998 Jaguar XJR Shock Absorber - Suspension - Bilstein, Genuine, KYB, Koni, Monroe, Front, Rear - PartsGeek

Not sure if they ship to Abu Dhabi. Other sources are RockAuto.com or shockwarehouse.com.

Shock Warehouse seems to have the best prices

Bilstein - KYB - Rancho - Monroe - Edelbrock Automotive Truck Shocks and Struts - Shockwarehouse.com

Hey Harry. I also have a XJR 98 and also living in Abu Dhabi!
Could you find a solution? Mine has CATS system. I need to replace all 4 shocks and CATS are way too expensive...
I'm willing to replace them by Bilstein sport but I want to know if I need to replace other parts as well (upper mount, bushings...). Can anyone help?

Hey Harry,
Not sure if you already solved your XJR suspension problem... I'm in the same situation.
I believe both Bilstein Sports and CATS shocks are green. You’ll know if you have CATS if you see some electrical wires connected to the top of the shock, when you open the bonnet.
Mine has CATS but as they are so expensive, I’m decided to replace all 4 shock by Bilstein Sports. I found out there´s a Bilstein dealer in Dubai and prices, even including shipping costs, seem very similar to UK.

OEM shocks are Bilstein B4. CATS shocks are also Bilstein B4 but with some valve inside.
It is very hard now to find new B4 in Europe and the cost is the same as with CATS.
I've ordered shocks with CATS from UL and till they will arrive i've bought a Koni Classics Shocks.
