Am in need of a set of head bolts for my 1999 Jaguar Vaden plas XJ8. Motor is a 4.0. Have heard the head bolts on a Lincoln LS 3.9 motor are the same thing just a fraction of the cost. I did find the Lincoln 3.9 bolts on Ebay (item number 400495931351).
Wondering if these will work and if they do, do I torx them down in the same way I would the Jaguar head bolts. I have an order on how to do them for the Jaguar already, just need more help in the bolts.
I wished the parts for the Jaguar was less expensive for the bolts, timing chain and the gasket set.
Anyways looking at the head bolts at this time.

The Ford/Lincoln 3.9L head bolts work just fine in a Jaguar 4.0L. FelPro even has a head gasket set that includes the bolts for even less . . . if you haven't already purchased the gaskets.

 

No I have not bought them yet, do you know the web site and part numbers?

 

I checked both RockAuto and Advance AP and neither appear to carry the complete set, including the bolts, now. Both have both the gasket set and the bolts.
