Hi All. Newbie here. I need advise on the removal & replacement of a 1999 VDP Radiator. I'm looking and it seems to be connected to the transmission cooler and the a/c. Is it possible to remove w/o opening the lines to the tranny cooler and the a/c? I searched the forum for instructions but no luck. thanks 99 VDP 119k miles

Just an update. I was able to remove and replace the radiator with out removing the fans or disconnecting the a/c condenser lines. Since the cost of the radiator is so expensive, i figured I would try to save a little money by removing and installing myself. so far so good. The car is not running hot but the lower radiator hose has yet to get hot.

Well another issue, Now having transmission problems. I'm not sure if it's because I lost fluid when r&r the radiator or not, but now my car rev's up to abt 1800 rpm's before clunking into gear. check enging light on and I tried my Auto Xray scanner, no link and took it to 2 different AutoZone's and neither code scanner work on the car. Now I'm at a lost

There is no dipstick for the transmission. You might want to take it to a transmission shop to get it checked. They aren't terrible to get rebuilt. $3,000 installed or less.
100,000 miles is about all they go. I spent $500 to get the Auto Enginuity Scanner with the Jaguar enhancement. It reads everything include airbags. The transmission shop was not able to clear the check engine light after the rebuild. I had to do that myself. Nice cars, but not cheap to keep running.

Do it and then you don't have to worry for the next 100,000 miles. They should put in the upgraded A drum and an exchange valve body with new solenoids. If there is ANY question on the wiring harness to the solenoids, now is the time to change it. A 1 year warranty should suffice. Any problem should show up quickly.
