1999 XJR air intake assembly
Struggling with getting the correct part delivered, ordered three times, even from Jaguar, and I keep getting the incorrect part. I have ordered the air intake assembly from the MAF back to the throttle body, and since I have the 4.0 supercharged engine, it is a special application. They keep sending me the normal aspirated part that goes to an XK8, or otherwise. the bolt pattern does not line up and I can't modify it. Any tips on when I can order the part, and who will actually get it right??? I need to pass emissions, so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My XJR has an odd "air pipe", in that both of the hold down bolts are on the same side (firewall side). If I shop for mine using the correct part number, I get the wrong one. The only one I found that matches is the following link on ebay, but it's not even from a supercharged car.
00 01 02 Jaguar XJ Vanden Plas 4 0L Air Cleaner Intake Pipe Duct | eBay
The Ebay one references the same "correct" part number, but it's clearly not the same configuration as the others listed under that part number (Terrys Jaguar parts, Jaguar parts unlimited etc.).

At least it is that way on my 01 XJR

Yes, there's a clip for securing the brake booster hose, but that snaps into a spot between the two 8mm bolts that thread into the throttle body. My XJ8 (01) also had two 8mm bolts but they were on opposite sides of the throttle body, like pretty much all the air pipes I see listed online.
I would think maybe someone put the wrong air pipe on my 03 XJR, except that the bracket from the throttle body matches the air pipe on there perfectly.
Mine is fine and doesn't leak, so I am not trying to source a new one. I was trying to help the OP so I started searching for an air pipe for mine to see what I found. Then I wondered if maybe he was experiencing the same discrepancy I found.

Yeah, the pipie you need is essentially no longer available. On my 98' XJR, (when it belonged to the previous owner)
we replaced his air pipe and we got extremely lucky about 3 or so years ago getting the correct one. It has both holes towards the firewall, but one of them doesn't line up. It's the original TB also. Kinda baffled why Jaguar has it like that unless they make an assumption that it has their updated (??) TB on it. The only other thought is that I saw a few cars online with the TB mounted a different direction. Instead of the TB inlet facing the hood (or bonnet), it faces the ECU center (or brake master cylinder for European cars) and they have an unrestricted custom bent pipe going to it instead.

I just went through this with similar frustrating results with everyone sending me the air pipe for the N/A cars that have the bolt holes on the wrong (engine) side which interfere with the supercharger. Two Jag dealers couldn't even do it right. One dealer even told me that Jaguar corporate said that's all there is - modify it to fit! Right.
As Luc says, the correct part number (at least for a 2001 XJR) is: NNF3555AC. I got mine from SNG Barrett; and yes it is a Jaguar factory part and yes they are still being made. There are two 8mm bolts that hold the air pipe onto the TB.
Good luck!
