I figured there must had been some "conversation" happening...but you still hold back too much... If I hadn't needed to get to another job site a couple weeks ago when I was in Sneads Ferry, I'd given you a ring...maybe next time.

My brother is literally blocks away from a prestine Craigs List XJR yet he nor I can get the poster to respond. The color & mileage is exactly what I'm hunting for my son's 16th birthday.
Wonder why people list cars then never respond to inquiries ?!
I removed the link as to limit looks lol.

A nice, 21 year-old, low mileage 1998 VDP sold for $12,500.
Doesn't mention tensioners being done, or any of the other time related issues.

Good to see there are low mileage gems out there fetching the money and love they deserve.
Since smug was mentioned I will throw in my experience with this 55k mile XJ40 that cought my eye.

It definitely needs work and I texted the seller asking what he would take for the whole car. He replied either $3k or $3,500. I replied that we are too far off and if he changes his mind to let me know. His response - "sounds like you want a Jaguar for Miata money." This was several months ago and he just relisted the car. I'd pay maybe fifteen hundred for it to leave room for the repairs. I wonder how thinks he'll find a buyer just for the engine and trans when these powertrains are virtually bulletproof.
