First let me apologize. I can not do a search from my phone for this problem.
I had the transmission rebuilt last year and everything was fine until yesterday when it "transmission fault" ed again.
The tranny shop pulled the code and said solenoid "A" needed to be replaced. They just did a quick call while I was there and will research it more later but told me I have to buy all of the solenoids in a kit and can not just buy one. Parts guy said last time he ordered one it was over $800.
Is that true?
Any recommendations on where to purchase?

Additional information that refers to forum member Rob (avt007) posting.
CTSC is California Transmission Supply Company
The transmission solenoid Kit for your Jaguar XJ8 (ZF5HP24) looks like Product ID 106 298 034 (01) per ZF parts information in this JPEG file I created (CTSC price is $485.33).

Check your Transmission model number plate that is on left side of the transmission (US models - driver side) to see if it is in the number range shown in the JPEG (ie - 1058 000 then next 3 digits - 020/021/022/023/026/028/029/032/034/035/036
