2000 XJ8 Transmission Fault & Limp Mode
Let me start off by saying the car has about 112K on it.
Engine light and restricted performance came on. Had that checked and code for Cylinder 6 Misfire came up when we had it read for free. I cannot remember the actual code. Just took the car to AAMCO because Transmission Fault read across the dashboard and the car went into reverse just fine - but it wouldn't engage into drive. AAMCO suggested replacing the coils. AAMCO shows that codes P0307, P1316, P0357 and P1722 popped up. Replaced the coils (apparently found out today though they put a bad one back in because it changed from Ignition Coil G being bad to Igntion Coil C being bad)
During test drive it drives fine until engine light and restricted performance come back on, as well as Trans Fault. Slips real bad. Transmission fluid was completely clean. No residue. Could this be due to the bad coil? Electrical? Please help me.

Well, IMHO, AAMCO is the last place I would ever take any vehicle.
But, besides that, have you checked for a local indy (independent Jaguar mechanic)? Without a proper deep diagnostic from an experienced Jaguar mechanic you and anyone here is simply guessing. You can try some more web searching, but instead of using just the "P" code, put Jaguar in front of it because most of these type of codes are maker specific and will usually give you direct specifics.
Perhaps if you put some more detail on your location, maybe someone here may know that local someone who may be able to help?
