2000 XJR Boost leak? HELP SOS
Ok so, outside of the infamous belt tensioner, I have an issue with a part on top of the supercharger.
The part circled in red lifts up under reving, but only the front end of it, and the bolts are down to torque spec. There seem to be only 4 bolts around it holding it in, but the 2 front ones aren’t doing too good at their job. It seems to lift, and the bolts stay in place, so it kind of lifts around the bolts. It’s making the supercharger whine loud, so I have a feeling it’s a boost leak, since the car refuses to rev or have any power. Anybody with any information on what could help, what this part is exactly, what they recommend, or anywhere I could find parts for this problem or the countless others, would be greatly appreciated.

All 4 of those bolts that hold that lid down have these thick washers which are the same as the ones on your valve cover bolts. The part number is: NCA2575CA It sounds like the bolt seal washers (pictured above) are just done for. They help apply downward pressure on the lid. I’d replace those next.
