Default 2000 XJR valve cover gasket set

So I purchased a gasket set from Rock Auto and it's made by Victor Reinz. After doing some research on the forum I have learned that this brand sucks and will leak after awhile as the rubber is too thin. Everyone says get the OEM set but I can only find it on Coventry West and their price is over $500. Anyone know where I can get the OEM valve cover gasket set for a 2000 XJR for a better price?

Are you looking for the head gasket or valve cover gasket? Everything you've said except the thread title sounds like you need valve cover gaskets

look up the part numbers here https://www.jaguarclassicparts.com/u...t-4-0-litre-v8 then check them at distributors - a quick google of the one side valve cover showed prices in the $20-40 range - you need both sides, and a full set of the bolt seals and spark plug tube seals. Those are parts 2, 3, 4, 8 in the link, I think, you'll want to check on the bolt spacers.

I checked on the set I installed on Pam's XKR. It was the Victor VS50397 and there haven't been any leaks. I'm wondering if yours just needs to be re-torqued.
