Default 2001 Sunroof Fabric

The rear panel of my roof had the fabric separate from the panel while it was sliding closed, so I guess its time to redo it. Bonus because the main trim panel fabric is also loose, but not coming off the edges, so I'll kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Got a couple questions though about safe removal and reinstall. Search turned up a few threads, but the process for getting this all apart is just not clear to me.

The main trim panel came out super easily. Tilted the roof, pushed down gently on the trailing edge of the trim panel and it popped apart from the metal roof panel. Had to compress the two springs at the rear corners and it slid right out without any drama. Great.

Now, how the heck do I get that rear sliding panel out? It seems pretty wide, so even if I do figure out how to get the metal roof panel out (I think its just the 3 torx screws on each side and it just lifts out?), I'm not seeing how it can be pulled out of the car.

Once I go get the panel out, assuming my fabric is in good condition and doesn't need replacing, whats the best method to reattach it? Spray adhesive I presume? Any particular product I should be looking to get or just fabric safe adhesive is good enough?

Thanks!

Those pieces are (to me) a total PITA to remove and I don't recall the best (proper?) way to remove them. I've always used 3M brand upholstery adhesive. It's held up the best over time. There are cheaper options but they don't last. The small panel in my '00 was stuck/lost in the roof until I pulled it forward. I have a couple spares that I pulled from pull-n-pay yards at one point because I wasn't sure it was there. I can post up pics later if you want to help visualize how it sits in the track.

6 TORX head screws (3 on each side) and the sliding roof steel panel lifts off.
Easy to work on the sliding roof track assy with roof off.

Some of the parts need to slide off the back of the tracks, so HEADLINER DOWN and drop the back of the sliding roof assy.

Here are two pics (one each side) of the small sunroof panel. They just sit on the track... As Bob indicated, after the metal panel comes out, I think I removed these from the top by pushing one side up/out of the track and then the other.
