While doing so, I noticed that the SC, SC plate, and chargers were all pretty oily. So much so that there was oil pooling around the bellows. -
The TB inlet was not all that dirty and the EGR port is what I would call normal. -
The SC on the other hand looks like it has seen better days. Should there be a coating on the vanes and are these streaks where the coating has been removed?
Where would this amount of oil come from and what could be the cause? I have not yet checked the level of oil in the SC itself.
Has anyone taken to cleaning the inside of their air chargers? If so, how did you accomplish it?
