2001 vanden plas right brake light and 3rd light issue
Recently acquired the car from my late father. He loved this car, and I'm very happy to have it. (OK to the issue) passenger side brake lite won't turn on, nor will the passenger side of the third brake light. Signals/reverse work. Bulbs are good. Bad fuse? Any knowledge would be much appreciated!!
thanks in advance for the time.

See my post on the passenger side brake light at https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...letput-246088/
As to the high mount, on mine all the bulbs are on the same circuit so thinking it must be the bulbs.

Your third brake light issue sounds like simply blown bulbs. There are four bulbs in the unit, probably one or two of them have blown. Not too difficult to replace the bulbs, but treat the third light unit gently as the plastic can become very fragile after all this time.
As for the passenger-side brake light...........first be absolutely sure the bulb is good, it is a double filament, then check for good ground at the bulb location, then check at the passenger-side trunk hinge, often the electrical wires can get chafed there. And finally, believe it or not, I have had mysterious rear light issues that were caused by a failing battery, these cars are very particular about voltage, check the age of your battery and check it's charged state.
