2001 VDP no fuel
New to the forum.
Ihave a 01 VPS that wont start. 56K. No codes. Spark OK. Plugs clean. Fuel does not squirt out of valve when cranked. Pump fuse OK.
Obviuosly it looks like fuel pump. Is this common? whereis it?is there something else I may be missing? is there a way to get a service manual?

Hey,
My 98xj8 did the same thing and I had to replace the fuel pump. In my car it was located in the gas tank. However, I am sure the Jagtechs will chime in. They are truely awesome and will help out. I still need help with mine. Good luck, someone with knowledge will help you out just keep looking back.

Fuel pump is in the tank....at the back of the trunk. The pump is on the top of the tank.
I would look at the relay first though. In the trunk fuse box, if you look down the row of relays are like a T on its side. The fuel pump relay is here in red:
Relay

Relay
Some of the relay slots will be empty, but you get the idea. I would swap relay first. Then let us know what happens.

OK, I am trying to remove the gas tank. Itisnt very difficult but as I pull it out it is hanging up on something.Iit seems to be in the middle at the bottom. Very tight fit but I can get my hands around the sides and top.
Does the tank come striaght out or does it tip down? Is there anything behind it? under it? Can it be removed with half a tank of gas.

Without wiring diagrams I can only confirm that power is present at the output of the relay. There are 6? wires on top of the tank and it is pretty tight in there, I cant say for sure which ones are for the pump.
The tank looks like it is going to be too hard to remove without a lift so I guess it goes to the shop.
BTW what does r/r marker assembly stand for? is it part of the traction control?
Thanks for the help.
