Hello!
I had my jaguar on a trickle charger over the winter but it malfunctioned and the voltage went too low and I started getting numerous error codes messages that prevent me from getting the vehicle out of park...even with a fully charged battery all the car will do is start...I have tried running car until warm 20 mins removing battery terminals, touching them together for 30 mins to discharge the electrical system...then reattached terminals to battery and turned on-still no resetting of the computer and removal of the codes...this car is near perfect with 43k miles and perfect service records....is there anything else I can try? At my wits end with having a car that is completely nonfunctional due to a battery issue...thanks!

Welcome to the forum John,
The codes won't clear with just a 'hard reset' as you have done. They must be cleared with a scantool.
I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X308 forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.
When you get a minute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

You can release it from park by removing the socket screw to the left of the shift lever and insert a screwdriver or the end of the key and turn to release the shift lever.
If the lever isn't shifting out of park I would check the brake light switch. A quick check would be to see if the brake lights are working. It is possible over the strorage time the brake light switch is frozen in the open position.
