Roy:
The X-308 does not have a "service soon" light. I do not understand your comments about amberlights and so on, but I THINK you are referring to the "check enginelight" which indicates there is something wrong. Getthe codes read with an OBD scanner.

Thanks Ross.Oh no i have trouble then.
I have a code reading P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2).And what is it?
Will that cause the warning light to come on ?

Hi Roy, how many miles has the car done? The O2 sensors are like spark plugs and do have a service life. Have you noticed a lowering of fuel economy?

If not then there's not much to worry about. I've had this on a relativity high mileage XJ, it came on after long runs. Yes it will cause an amber light, but not a big problem. If your economy has gone down, it might be a case of replacing the offending O2 sensor.

BTW you're just round the corner from me and another member Stu.
