Default 2002 jaguar XJ Sport, a coolant hose connector

I can figure out how to take this coolant hose connector off, it's leaking from it and I need to repair it.

Ah, the Norma quick clip. I steuggled and gave up in the end, ripped it off and bouggt a new hose, which is what you'll be doing as you can't buy that clip on it's own.

So, you depress the tab and slide the ring on the right to the black plastic on the left. Then it should come off BUT it won't as they tend to stick on...

People call it the 'Octopus hose' here. Jaguar parts number MNC6733AE. It is the heater hose for NA models and connects between the engine and the heater valve. 5 ends. Two have a plastic clip (one the Norma connector you have found, the other is easier to undo).

Herr a picture of my old one vs. a brand new original one:

Top is new, bottom is old.

There is an aftermarket one but I couldn't get hold of one quickly. So I bought an original one from SNG Barratt. Was around €170 so that would be something like £160 if you're in Britain...

Alright so I bought one and replaced it, but I'm stuck on getting that fitting on the one that's in the picture above, is there any trick to it or do I just use all my strength and shove it on, it has this metal ring that the fitting sits around.
