Hello,
I have a 2002 jaguar xjr that has multiple engine codes. I let a freind borrow my car for a while, he in turn let his son drive it to school with his brother. Well when I got it back it didn't seem to be running right. I found out later from the yunger son that his brrother was
doing "burn outs" in the parking lot...I let the car sit for a while before working on it. just to make sure I disconnected the fuel filter and drained the gas tank. Pulled the spark plugs which were black. I then replaced the O2 sensors but still not good. I had some coils from another car and put those in still not good, put on a new maf sensor still runs bad.
here are the codes that are now comming up
P0174 , P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P1316, P0133, P0153, P1642, P1646, P1647.
I don't know if all the codes are current as I've read that they need to be cleared with a tech scanner, I have a small hand held scanner/.
any ideas what I should do

One thing I have found during my ownership of cars I care about, is to NEVER
let Anyone borrow it. Something happens in the mindset of the borrower that
causes them not to care how the car is treated, driven or otherwise abused.
Oh yeah, and a "friend" who allows his son to drive a borrowed car is NOT
much of a friend.

thanks for the replies, it been a while since I loaned the car and no longer in touch with my friend so it all on me. I live in a small town in northern Arizona no mechanic here will work on this, the closest place is Las Vegas about 100 miles away,. anyway
how do I clear the codes first off, do I disconnect the pos terminal of the battery and touch it to the neg terminal ? don't want to do something that may fry the ecu or anything else.
