Welcome mate! What's a door card though? As for the fob, it takes one click to lock all doors but the panic to remain off. The second click activates the panic which goes off if the doors open, or if the car no longer stays level to the floor! Example, my car was getting towed away a few months ago, and the panic went off and saved me 100 bucks!

Big how'd the panic get you outta getting towed? The only way I got out of getting towed was giving Jose, the tow truck guy, 50 bucks. it was a 180 dollar fine tho, so it was worth the 50 bucks. I pulled into a gas station, told some guy working there I was gunna fill up after getting money at the bank, then walked over to the pizzaria for a couple of slices. Won't ever try that one again.

The door lock actuator on the driver's door may be hanging up. I have anintermittent issue with mine not locking. I forget to check that the lock button went down when I leave the car. Then, when I come back I notice that it's up and open the door. It starts beeping and then the alarm goes off. [:@] I have heard that dribbling some silicone lubricant down the lock button/tab/chrome thingy will help. Since my car is under warranty, it's on the "to do" list next time it's in for service.

The dealer should be able to fix your problems with the door lock with no real problem. They probably will just put in a new relay or something, i know little about the inner workings of XJ8's.

Hopefully ur car doesn't have 1,019,000 miles, lol.that would be funny

Definatly nobody on this forum, there are hardly any jag owners on here.

I doubt anyone in the US has gone that far in a xj8, considering they are only what 9 years old. You'd have to drive like 110,000 miles a year.

If you drove 6 hours a day evrey day for a year at an AVERAGE speed of 55 miles per hour, you would still only have 120,000 miles a year, and that excludes breakdowns or anything, and u know there would be one with that much driving. So I garantee you no XJ8 has rolled over 1,000,000
