2002 XJ8 Left side (driver) power seat harness white smoke
Hi guys,
I just replaced the driver's side harness for the power seats because my old one had burned for some unknown reason. I replaced it and after a few seconds I saw white smoke again and noticed that the main plug connector that comes from the car floor had burned wires. Any idea if the problem is the connector that comes from the car floor or perhaps the module underneath the seat?
Thanks for any help

Never heard of this issue before...this will be a multi-meter and tracing time event it appears. But it is very apparent you have a short you shouldn't have. Have you checked the motor itself?
What may be apparent are the wires that are burnt and refer to the electrical guide I've attached, ..if you don't already have it.
Dave has a pretty descent site, he always comes up with NOS...https://shop.everydayxj.com/Default.asp...bookmark it.
