2002 XJ8 master window switch
I took the drivers interior door trim panel out in order to change the drivers outside door latch. I disconnected the wires to the tweeter, speaker, master window switch, and courtesy light. I got the the latch changed. I put the interior door trim panel back on, hooking up all the wires. Now the master window switch will only operate the drivers window using the switch that is supposed to operate the passenger side rear window. It won't operate any other windows. All the other switches will operate the other windows. I have disconnected the master switch and reconnected several times. I don't see how the switch for the passenger rear window in the master switch can operate the drivers window and the drivers window only. It will not operate any other windows. I wonder if anyone has had this problem or can understand what is going on.

There may be a difference between the X300 and X308 driver door master control but what I found on my X300 was the lock bar on the connector had come unlocked allowing the connector sockets to pin contacts to migrate away from each other
I see you reconnected it a couple of time , look to see if any sockets have migrated away from the face of the connector and if you have any bent pins on the controller

I would agree to recheck the connector on the drivers switch panel. If it is fully installed, you might remove the the control panel, take the wood cover off the top and check if something got on the circuit board. I had a 1999 BRG jag that water got on the board and rotted out the power trace. Just soldered around the break and the controls worked fine.
