2002 XJR lumpy ride??
Hi Chaps,
just bought a 2002, 78K, car's in perfect condition except the ride isn't what I expected. Apart from horrible tramlining, (it has 50% worn Bridgestone Potenzas that pull in every direction on every undulation in the road, so I know they have to go), it has a somewhat lumpy ride, a few clonks from the front end also. I cannot find any loose bolts and the shock bushes look OK. The car has "Cats"...couple of questions....do the shocks freeze as they get older, the ride seems jiggly and stiffer than I think it should be...can the system be unplugged or shut down and regular XJ8 Bilstein shocks be fitted...or should I spring for the cost of new Cats shocks...and where to get them at a decent price?
