Default 2003 Jaguar XJ8 exhaust heat shield near mufflers.
How important are the heat shields near the mufflers? Not sure how this happened but both sides are broken.

Hello to everybody,

Same happened to me one year ago (passenger side only). Since then, I drove 30k km without that specific heat shield without any complaints. Visually, I can't see any bad effects - I'm checking that regularly. Since I couldn't determine the part no, I didn't replace it yet. Does anybody know the OEM-No? I didn't succeed to find it in JEPC.

I would try and get one from a wreck ..... can't be a high value item.
