Default 2003 xjr code and paint question

GENTLEMEN:

I looked locally at an 03 XJR Black/black, 63,000 mi. here's my questions:
1. Put the scanner on it and got a P1000 code. I'm wondering if they cleared all codes.
2. Roof paint in front of the sun roof has several cloudy spots can these be buffed out?
3. Previous owner put a wind deflector in front of the sun roof, asuming I can get a 3M product to remove it or should I leave it up there for fear of paint damage or discoloration when I take it off.
4. Car ran fine, final price $9,800

Thanks

P1000 is a Jaguar proprietary code meaning everything is fine

3M or other brand of adhesive remover will do the job but depending on a lot of factors the paint underneath could be a different shade

No idea on spots but you can always try. nothing to loose

P1000 does not mean that. It means the OBD monitors have not all run OK. Normal if the codes were recently cleared but very abnormal otherwise. P1111 is the one that says they have run OK, and is the code to be expected.
