I take off the 2 T25 Torx screws off that black bracket, rotate the throttle clockwise about 90* and pull the throttle cable towards you as it should slide out.

Put it together and had a small gas leak. Where does this hose go to? don’t remember taking it off.

 

Maybe fuel pressure regulator vac line , if wet bad FPR

 

nope fpr is on the other side of throttle body. looked everywhere can’t find where it leads to.

 

It came off the MAP sensor that’s on the firewall directly behind the throttle body.

 

The throttle uses COOLANT to prevent ICING of the throttle plate.

 

You should see 2 coolant ( heat ) lines in and out on the throttle body on the butterfly portion of it

I don't have the V 8

 

That makes sense i was wonder why theirs coolant going into the throttle body. The leak was coming from the fuel line that connects to side of FPR and runs under the throttle body/supercharger.

Old FPR did have fuel in the vacuum line, so it was bad. Still not starting though. Put battery to charge, hopefully the battery was just low( Charger said 80%)

 

Maybe it washed the cylinders due to all the extra fuel??

 

just tried the method of flooring it and cranking and still nothing. pulled the plugs. and ordered a syringe with a tube. gonna try to put some oil in each cylinder without making a mess. jump starter relay, put plugs back in and see if she starts up tomorrow. did find out that i didn’t tighten the left hand side plugs fully

 

The fuel pressure is 43 psi at idle and the vacuum line on throttle up brings it to 46 - 47 psi

Battery chargers are not reliable in the things they display

You can prove this after a couple of hours with a independent meter on the battery post

 

There is a specific ignition labeled relay to put 12 volts " sitting " on the coils at all times ( the ECM provides timed grounds on the 8 independent return wires for current / spark )

If the relay is closing but there is a splice in the wire between left and right banks ( at least I thought on earlier X308s before engine / engine wire harness change ( AJ26 to AJ27s ) )

There is a question on 2003 and 2003.5

The 2003.5 does have a additional single capacitor ( vs. 2003 ) for all 8 coils but no spice between the left and right banks but a splice for all 8 coils ( hint )

Do you know of a gauge kit that’ll fit the schrader valve on SC engines? i bought a gauge and adapter from M.Stojanovic but it was lost in transport

 

I honestly don’t know what to do with this information. can you dumb it down for me haha
