2004 XJR Supercharged interior fan inop
I am new to the forum. I just got a 2004 XJR Supercharged and The interior fan doesn't work. The touch screen works fine. The touch screen fan switch works fine but the fan does not go on and of course the AC isn't cold because of no fan and the heater doesn't appear to work because no fan. I do hear the blend doors move when I hit different touch screen buttons.
Can somebody give me some direction? I have been reading some of the threads and they mentioned the fan control module.
I look forward to hearing your stories and comments.
Thank you

you need to post these questions in the correct forum, hopefully a mod will move this to...

To separate it out into different problems just a quick overview of the different electric waterpumps and air blowing fans involved in the X350 .
The supercharger has a independent electric waterpump for cold radiator fluid for the intercooler .
The radiator has 2 air moving fans that are engine coolant temp regulated .
The cabin heat has a independent electric waterpump for warm radiator fluid to the cabin heater core / matrix .
And the 2 air moving cabin blowers for the air across the heater core also used in the AC cooling mode .
You still have the traditional mechanical waterpump for the engine cooling fluid through the radiator . The heater core and intercooler taps some of this out for it's purposes with the 2 electric pumps .
The late model X350 uses different brand electric water pumps for intercooler and cabin heater then the rest of the X308 and is a Bosch unit .
As a priority we'll look at the main engine radiator 2 electric fans first .
Editing , Note that I could be wrong in the X350's systems
For a reference , here is the wiring guide for the 2004 X350 as we're talking about the 4 door sedan correct ( ? ):
http://www.jagrepair.com/images/Elec...al%20Guide.pdf
See page 69 for radiator cooling air moving electric motor ( 1 )
and page 69 for intercooler fluid pump .
See page 83 for blower fan ( 1 ) and cabin auxiliary fluid pump .
There should be a customer self test of the cabin climate control system on the control head that may say something about a suspected door movement , but may not show everything like a suspected cabin auxiliary fluid pump .
See I'm wrong already
Fuse locations to check :
Radiator air moving fan power - F35 / 80 amp Front Power Distribution box
Radiator air moving fan control module ( which only controls that 1 radiator electric fan ) - F14 / 10 amp Front Power Distribution box
If you turn the AC on the engine radiator air moving fan should come on regardless of the fluid temp .
Any questions , just ask and someone will assist you .
