First, I cannot get the navigation system to come on. It says I have the wrong DVD disc installed. There has never been a DVD in this car since I bought it.
Second, the engine light came on and was on for several days. Now it is off.
Third, the Bonnet Open warning message came on and is still on. I cannot close the bonnet.
Fourth, I am not able to lock the car doors with the remote. This may have started about the same time as the bonnet problem. How do I manual lock the doors and bonnet?
Fifth,, my air suspension went out sometime yesterday and I have a very ruff ride. I have a warning for this plus a warning the car is riding too low.
Before all this started I had a dead battery on two occasions and I had it jumped each time.
Would a new battery correct all of this? I am not sure how old my battery is and if it is weak,
My Jaguar mechanic has an Interstate battery he will install for me for $250. He says they are the best for Jaguars with their cranking power. I can get this same battery for $185 at the Interstate Battery Center. Are there other batteries that are just as good for Jaguars, but less expensive?
Please advise on what I am up against here. This car has 35,000 miles on it and is like new.
