Default 4.0 to 4.2 Specialists?

Hey everyone! I have a X308 XJR that's got a dud engine, I was wondering whether anyone knows of any Jaguar specialists in the UK who would do a engine swap from 4.0 to the later 4.2?

I'm not really a handyman, i dont have the time, space, resources, or skillset to attempt it myself. I know there was a company called Elite and Performance who used to offer the swaps for approx £1500-£2000, however when i rang and asked they said they no longer offer this service.

Anyone else have any ideas of who might be prepared to tackle this?

Thanks everyone!

Whereabouts are you and what year is the car, also have you got the 4.2 unit?

Eurojag are probably your first port of call for an engine, but can be hard to come by. Then find a Jag specialist who've done the job before.

I'm based in Merseyside. I don't currently have a 4.2 but I have seen a few X100 XKRs listed for breaking which I've been lead to believe it's an X100 4.2 I need for the swap.

My XJR is a 2000, I'm fairly sure it's the AJ27 engine which apparently makes for an easier swap?

The easiest is to use the 4.2 cylinder block and use 4.0 cylinder heads.

It's a trek for you, but this place in Doncaster seem to have a bit of everything in the workshop & always done a good job on my X308
